Shadows were alive

I'd been quiet, so very quiet,
more quiet than I was used to,
If ever there was chatter,
it was in my mind
and it was all about
how
it was all
so very quiet!

By the bench was a buddy,
a rather quiet friend this;
against rich hues, a raven form,
and some perfect ocean she'd found
where like rivers I could pour
those incessant qualms.

I'd been quiet,
more quiet than I was used to,
so I prattled to this raven form,
and from head to toe
she was just calm.

Just this once I thought
she lent a helping hand,
for it I reached,
for that I fell,

and the lamps stood tall and giggled
at the fool who fell,

at the fool who fell for a raven form!
