Remnants

A little would he know now
of all the play, and all the fights;

we were one big mischief each,
that donned the hide of a child!

A little would she know now
of why the quips
and the show of loony;

how fond I was to see her smile!

But then we're just the same--
we parted friends--we're just alike,
that deep
within the scars of our tattered hide,

we're still a mischief that makes us smile!
